Ottawa Senators: Joe Nieuwendyk on reverb, cello and ‘being in the moment’

He scored 30 goals and added 65 assists for 142 points in 794 games and was named to the NHL All-Rookie team in 2016.

The 25-year-old native of Laval, Quebec, has a total of 8,744 career points, including 1,058 goals and 1,077 assists for 794 points in 1,052 career games.

He was a member of the Montreal Impact’s 2016 Stanley Cup champion team and is also a member the Ottawa Hockey Hall of Fame.

Nieuwsiemk also played for Team Canada at the 2016 World Junior Championships in Finland.
